Bed and Breakfast

Description
In quieter periods we try to offer the buttery, bothy or schoolhouse as the bedroom acommodation and then bathroom accommodation is en-suite. We can also cater for one to two persons in a bedroom situated in the house. It is a light double aspect room with a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and currently the bathroom is below it and not en-suite.

There is no road noise or street lighting as we are a mile off of the main fell road.

Guests can come and go at any time during the day and evening and are welcome to relax in the main lounge (or the bothy or schoolhouse if that is where they are staying). We are very flexible and if you have any special requiriements, please ask?

Views
We are situated 950 feet up on a fell and the accomodation has immediate views over the fields towards Scafell Pike, Bow Fell and Crinkle Craggs.

Pets
Pets are welcome but not allowed on the bed. Please provide your own dog bed/mat/rug.

Meals
Breakfast is served within the kitchen.
We can provide evening meals if required and are quite happy to provide vegetarian options and cater for special dietry requirements. Packed lunches can be provided but a days notice would be helpful.

Breakfast
A choice of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, fruit juice, toast, fresh home made breads, full English, tea and coffee.
Only quality products are used and, where possible, these are our own homegrown meats, eggs and vegetables.

Evening Meal
The emphasis is on "fresh, home cooked and generous portions" with a choice of hearty meals and fresh home made bread.

The 4 courses, (a choice is provided), consist of soup, a main meal, a sweet and cheese and biscuits followed by coffee. You are welcome to supply alchoholic beverages of your choice.
