Description
The Bothy is a detached building offering cosy and comfortable "upside down" self catering accommodation for two people. It combines the old with the new and has a multifuel "log burning" stove.

Layout
From the car park, stone steps lead up to a gate and the front door. You enter into the combined lounge / dining / kitchen area with views towards Scafell Pike.

Open plan wooden steps lead down to the bedroom, which has stone walls and oak beams. A door leads from the bedroom to the bathroom which has a traditional slipper bath, hand basin and WC.

Views
From the kitchen window and garden there are views towards Scafell Pike, Bow Fell and Crinkle Craggs.

Garden
An enclosed private garden surrounds two sides of the Bothy
with a patio area at the top from where you have spectacular views towards Scafell Pike. There is also use of a nearby field. A gas BBQ and tools is provided.

Pets
We welcome a variety of pets (with well behaved owners!)

Details

  • Lounge / Dining area with multi fuel "log burning" stove, dining table and 2 chairs, 32" TV with integral DVD player, Sky Digital HD (all Sky channels, including Sport, except box office)
  • Kitchen area has a four ring gas cooker and oven, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, filter coffee machine, toaster and the usual utensils and crockery. A microwave is available, but it will reduce your kitchen worktop area. It needs to be requested and is on a first come first serve basis, shared with the Buttery.
  • Double Bedroom
  • Ensuite bathroom with traditional slipper bath, WC and basin
  • Access to laundry facilities, iron and board
  • Wifi internet access (subject to booking conditions)
  • Night storage heating and multi fuel "log burning" stove
  • Electricity, coal and gas inclusive. Logs available at £2 per basket and further kindling at £1 per bag
  • Duvets, full linen & towels inclusive
  • Basic starter kit inclusive; ie. firelighters, kindling, gas lighter, matches, washing up liquid, sponge, hand soap, bin liners, kitchen roll, foil, clingfilm, coffee, salt, pepper, bath foam, tissues and loo roll
  • Garden area with garden furniture
  • Gas BBQ (gas inclusive)
  • Pets welcome (but not allowed on the furniture)
  • Ample parking
