The House

The House adjoins the Cottage and comprises of a spacious barn conversion offering comfortable self catering accommodation for up to six people. This makes it suitable for two couples or a large family. It combines the old with the new and has an open fire to curl up in front of on those dark winter evenings.

Through the front door you enter into the hall with it's tiled floor and beamed ceiling. This leads to the bathroom and two half flights of stairs. One leads down to the kitchen and dining area and the other leads up to the extremely large lounge and the master bedroom. From the lounge another half flight of stairs leads to the second bedroom. From the kitchen there is a small hallway to an outside door.

Most rooms have views towards Scafell Pike and all are furnished with care and thought.

The sunniest garden is a flagged area to the front of the property outside the front door but there is a garden area to the north of the property where there are panoramic views across Birker Fell towards Scafell Pike.

Please Note: The house is primarily available during the high season. The owner lives in the house for some of the year and many items are left to enhance the comfort of the holiday accommodation (eg. the musical instruments on the walls in the lounge). Please respect this. Also the kitchen has solid oak worktops and you are asked to take particular care with hot pans and when cutting.
