Surrounded by hills and moorland with Englands highest mountains, these cosy cottages have both been renovated retaining all their character and charm. There is excellent walking "from their doors" with the hidden Devoke Water only three quarters of a mile away where you can walk and fish amid fantastic scenery.
Just 3 miles from the magnificent Eskdale and Duddon valleys and the Ravenglass to Eskdale steam railway, it is a haven of peace and tranquility and offers a wonderful holiday experience at any time of the year.

Woodend offers extremely comfortable accommodation, each cottage with it's own unique style. There is some flexibility as the holiday accommodation consists of:

The Cottage (Sleeps from 2 - 6)
Self catering for up to 6 people
Suitable for a family or two couples

The House *Available high season (See below)
(Sleeps from 2 - 6)
Self catering for up to 6 people
Suitable for a family of 5/6, two couples or two families each with a child

The Bothy (Sleeps 2)
Cosy self catering for a couple

The Cottage (or house) and the Bothy (Sleep up to 7/8)
Self catering for larger parties of up to 7/8 people
Suitable for two families with 3/4 children between them, 3 couples or nan and grandad, (with their own privacy), mum and dad and the kids!

Tesco and Asda on line shopping
Why not get your provisions delivered directly to the door by using the Tesco or Asda delivery service

For couples requiring only one bedroom, if the bothy is booked in low season we may be able to let you stay in the cottage at a reduced rate.

Smoking
We ask that you refrain from smoking inside the buildings.

Dogs
We do not make a charge for dogs as being a dog owner ourselves we appreciate being able to take our dog on holiday with us. However, after a couple of bad experiences, we do request that dogs are kept in the main living areas, (lounge and kitchen), kept off of all furniture and that you as the owner take responsibility for the additional cleaning and hoovering at the end of your stay that may result . ie. fouling, chewing and especially moulting!
